Researchers put circuits on contact lenses, freak out rabbits

Engadget have been writing that researchers have discovered a way to embed electrical circuits including lights and logic into contact lenses. This sounds pretty cool to me and I think it would be great to have a head-up display as you walk around. It could tell you where you are, the time, how to get somewhere, information about the person you are talking to (good for business meetings where I can never remember a persons name)  or even allow you to watch TV.

I wonder if Specsavers will be selling them.

  1. GravatarTron says:

3 ways to remember who you meet at meetings:

    1) When you meet the person, say their name back to them in greeting - speaking uses different parts of the brain and helps you to link the face with the name and remember it.

    2) If it’s a big meeting, draw a picture of the table on your note pad, and write their names around it where they are sat.

    3) When you part, use the person’s name again, it’ll help you remember afterwards.

I do all three - I’m still not very good at it, but I’m better than I was :)
I met Alex Salmond once, current first minister of Scotland, and one of the most impressive things was that at the end of our meeting - an hour and a half or so - he could remember the name of everyone in the room.
