Letter bombs target motoring related organisations

Thursday, February 8th, 2007

The BBC has reported that a letter bomber is targeting motoring related organisations in the uk. So far letter bombs have been sent to:

  • DVLA - responsible for licencing and penalty point administration
  • Capita - run the London congestion charge scheme
  • Vantis - linked to speed check services

As well as a number of animal testing organisations.

I work for a fleet vehicle management company, we provide administration services for over 44,000 company vehicles in the UK. While I am not worried that I am going to be letter bombed, or that my company might be, it is still a bit of a concern. Luckly it is the accounts department who get the fun job of opening all the post.

BOOM.
