Introduction

Have you ever wondered where your money goes to when it leaves your pocket? Some will say the tax man, and yes he does get a fair chunk, others might say shareholders. But I know different. When paper money leaves your pocket it gets passed from person to person. It travels all around the country and you never know where it will end up. The FindLizzy website lets you track where your money has gone and who has it now.

Motivation

The FindLizzy project started after I read about Where's George. The Where's George website tracks American notes all around the world. I was interested in finding out where my money went. While there were a few websites offering to track English money I wasn't convinced that they were as good as they said they were. Therefore I set about building my own.

Objective

Create a website that allows people to track where their paper money goes once it has left their pocket.

• Tracking of £5, £10, £20 and £50 notes
• Calculates out which note has been the furthest based on postcode locations
• Calculates most logged note
• Optional user registration
• Registered users can track their own notes

Technology

The website was built using HTML 4.01, PHP 4 and MySQL.
