#exeter Website Project

Introduction

#exeter is an IRC channel on the EFnet network. It enables my friends from University to keep in touch and chat about daily goings on.

The channel was founded in Summer 1999 and now has over over fifty regular users.

Objective

To create a website for the #exeter community so that they can share news and announce events to other members of the community.

Features

• Updatable by everyone who is a member
• Content management

Intended Audience

• Existing members of #exeter
  • Mainly technology literate
  • Fun and quirky
  • Often child like in their nature

Technology

• Use of off-the-shelf website packages, specifically Wordpress.
